Buy melamine foam from the factory, not a trading company
FoamTech is a melamine foam supplier with its own production lines in Yiwu and Zhengzhou, China — not a trading company reselling someone else’s material. We foam, cure, cut and inspect open-cell melamine foam ourselves, and ship it factory-direct to distributors, converters and OEMs worldwide.
Whether you are sourcing melamine foam for acoustics, thermal insulation, cleaning products or industrial conversion, buying from the producer keeps density, thickness, tolerances and delivery under your control instead of inheriting someone else’s margin and lead time.

- Buns, sheets, rolls, tubes, panels and die-cut parts
- Certified quality, environmental and safety systems
- Factory audit and samples before you commit
What we supply
Melamine foam is a made-to-order material, so the fastest route to a usable quotation is to start from the form, density and finish you need. Our standard supply range covers:
- Blocks and buns — raw open-cell melamine foam for converters who cut their own parts.
- Sheets — precision-sliced from 0.3 mm to 400 mm, in densities from 5 to 40 kg/m³.
- Rolls and skived sheet — for continuous lamination and wrapping lines.
- Acoustic panels and tiles — faced or unfaced, for absorbers, equipment linings and interiors.
- Pipe and duct sections — thermal and acoustic insulation for building services and industry.
- Die-cut parts and laminates — aluminium foil, PET and adhesive-backed composites cut to your drawing.
Capacity, lead time and order terms
Because we run our own lines, capacity and lead time are things we can commit to in writing rather than pass through from a third party.

- Annual capacity — around 300,000 m³ of melamine foam, produced across two plants in Yiwu and Zhengzhou.
- Minimum order quantity — quoted per project, because it depends on density, thickness and whether the grade is a stock format or made to order.
- Lead time — stock formats ship quickly; made-to-order thicknesses and laminates are scheduled once the specification is confirmed.
- Samples — available before you commit to a production order, so you can test absorption, fit and finish first.
- Factory audits — welcome, and can be arranged with advance notice across the foaming, cutting and inspection areas.
- Export terms — FOB, CIF and DDP quotations with the packing and documentation your market requires.
Certifications and compliance
Our quality, environmental and safety systems are certified by independent bodies, and the material is tested against the standards that acoustics, transport and building buyers ask for.
Beyond supplying the raw material, we convert it in-house for projects that need finished parts — slicing, CNC contouring, thermoforming, lamination, adhesive backing and die-cutting, working from your drawing or CAD model.
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 — certified management systems
- IATF 16949 — automotive quality management
- AS9100D — aerospace quality management
- UL94 V-0 rated, with a UL Recognized Component yellow card (File No. E540769 — grey FT-MF sheet, V-0 at 1.0 mm and 3.0 mm minimum thickness)
- ASTM E84 Class A rated surface burning characteristics
- RoHS and REACH compliance
- OEKO-TEX for textile-contact applications
- BSCI social compliance audit
- FAMA Authorized Facility for the Yiwu plant
- Drafting unit of the China light-industry standard QB/T 8216-2026 (melamine foam)
Test reports and certificate copies are available on request — see our certificates page for the originals we can share.
How to evaluate a melamine foam supplier
Most sourcing problems with melamine foam trace back to one question: are you buying from the producer, or from someone reselling another factory’s material? Here is what we suggest you check before placing an order with anyone, including us.

- Are they the manufacturer? Ask for the plant address and a live video walkthrough of the foaming line. A trading company can forward a catalogue; it cannot show you a production floor it does not own.
- Can they show test reports rather than claims? Density, absorption, fire performance and formaldehyde results should come from named laboratories with report numbers you can verify.
- What density and thickness tolerance can they hold? Ask for the actual range, not a rounded figure, and compare it against what your process needs.
- Do they hold the approvals your market requires? UL recognition, ASTM E84, RoHS, REACH and OEKO-TEX are the ones buyers ask about most often.
- Can they commit to a lead time in writing? Capacity figures mean little without a delivery commitment tied to your specification and quantity.
- Will they accept a factory audit? A producer will invite you in. A reseller will change the subject.
Frequently asked questions
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We are the manufacturer. FoamTech foams and finishes melamine foam on our own lines in Yiwu and Zhengzhou, China, and sells it factory-direct, so there is no trading intermediary between your order and our production schedule.
What is your minimum order quantity?
MOQ is quoted per project rather than published as a single figure, because it depends on density, thickness and whether the grade is a stock format or made to order. Send your specification and we will confirm the smallest production run we can commit to.
How long is your lead time?
Stock formats ship quickly. Made-to-order thicknesses, laminates and die-cut parts are scheduled once the specification and quantity are confirmed, and the quotation carries a dated commitment rather than a general estimate.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes. Samples are available before you commit to a production order, so you can check absorption, fit and finish against your own requirements first.
Can we audit your factory?
Yes. We welcome customer audits and can arrange one with advance notice, covering the foaming line, cutting, lamination and inspection areas.
Which certifications do you hold?
Our management systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with IATF 16949 for automotive and AS9100D for aerospace. The material carries a UL94 V-0 rating and a UL Recognized Component yellow card, ASTM E84 Class A, compliance with RoHS, REACH and OEKO-TEX, a BSCI social compliance audit, and FAMA authorized facility status for the Yiwu plant.
Get a melamine foam quote
Send the density, thickness, form and quantity you need — or the part you are trying to replace — and you will get a factory-direct quotation with capacity and lead time confirmed. If you would rather send drawings and full project details, use the full inquiry form.
Where to Buy Melamine Foam: Direct From the Plant
Buyers usually reach melamine foam through one of three routes — a trading company, a distributor's stock, or the factory that actually foams the resin. Ordering direct removes a margin layer and keeps density, cell structure and die-cutting under your own control.
How a direct order works
- Send your specification. Density, thickness, sheet size, and whether you need sheets, rolls or die-cut parts.
- Get a quotation and a sample. We quote per format and volume, and send a physical sample of the grade you will run.
- Approve the sample. Check cell structure, stiffness and surface finish before any tooling is made.
- Production and shipping. Made to order, then packed for pallet or container shipment.
We foam, laminate and die-cut in-house, so a single supplier can cover acoustic panels, thermal insulation and cleaning sponges from the same base material. If you are buying to a specification rather than a stock item, send the drawing first and we will tell you what is producible.
